I’m a Master of Public Policy and Master of Environmental Science student at the University of Michigan. I created this website to display my writing portfolio, but I stopped freelancing around 2020 and have neglected to keep the site updated. Apologies in advance for any broken links!

I’m most proud of my journalistic work in the realms of food systems, business innovation, social justice, and environmental sustainability. I’ve reported for NPR on vertical farming in Middle Tennessee, for Southern Foodways Alliance on the financial challenges faced by first-generation farmers, for Blue Ridge Outdoors on the stories of 12 Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, and for The Nashville Post Magazine on the burgeoning tech-focused meetup community in Nashville. In 2018, I produced and hosted a six-part podcast series about depression for the Nashville-based company Health:Further.

In addition to reporting for the above publications and more, I also am a top-ranked teacher on the learning platform Skillshare. My third and most recent class is a beginner’s guide to podcasting. I additionally enjoyed writing blog articles for LinkedIn ProFinder.

Some of my favorite hobbies are reading (mostly nonfiction), traveling (especially internationally), backpacking (backcountry), and running (marathons and half marathons).
